Confirmation of receipt of online application
Upon successful submission of your application, an 8-digit application number will be assigned to you. A copy of the submitted online application form will be made available on the acknowledgement page and you will also receive an acknowledgement email in the email address you have provided in the online application.
You should save and/or print a copy of the acknowledgement page/email for your own reference.
An acknowledgement email will be sent to you each time you submit changes to your course choices or contact details during the application period.
Online Application Status Facility (OASF)
Applicants can log in to the Online Application Status Facility (OASF) with your 8-digit Application Number and Admission PIN to track your application status and for regular updates.
Please note that the application number and PIN created to check your online application status can only be used during the admission period, from the point of online application to end-August.
Updating of contact information after submission of online application
If there are any changes to your contact information, please log in to the Online Application Status Facility (OASF) with your application number and PIN to update the details by the application closing date. This will ensure prompt delivery of any messages or documents to you. You may submit multiple updates but only the last update received will be CONSIDERED. Each time you make a change, an acknowledgement email will be sent to the email address you have indicated on the online application.
PIN (Personal Identification Number)
On the application form, you will be asked to create an 8-character alpha-numeric, case sensitive PIN. Please keep this PIN confidential. Together with your application number, this PIN can be used, to access the following online facilities related to your application:
- Online status enquiry
- Online reply to NUS' offer of admission
- Online Submission of Supporting Documents
- Online appeal
- Online Payment of Application Fee
If you have forgotten/misplaced your PIN after submitting an online application, you can reset it via the Online Application Status Facility (OASF).
You will need the following information to reset your PIN:
- Application Number
- Email address that was provided in your online application form
If you are unable to reset your PIN after three attempts, you will need to personally reset your PIN at the Office of Admissions. Please bring along your NRIC/Passport for verification purposes.

You may authorize a representative, with a letter of authorisation and a copy of your NRIC or Passport to reset the PIN on your behalf. The letter of authorisation should bear your signature, name, NRIC/FIN/Passport number, and the representative's name and NRIC/FIN/Passport number.
Alternatively, you may send us an email at www.askadmissions.nus.edu.sg to facilitate the reset of your PIN. The email must include your name, application number, date of birth, residential address, name of high school attended, first course choice as stated in application and next of kin's name.
Due to data security reasons, we regret that we are unable to reset your PIN over the phone and/or via email.
